VOTING RIGHTS
Motion Design

Background
This motion graphic was created for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights to educate viewers about key historical figures in the fight for voting rights. I was given a script and the constraint of not using characters or photography.
I broke the script into sections, built a storyboard, and created an animatic with a scratch voiceover. After refining transitions, I brought the project into After Effects to simulate animation and camera movement. From there, I designed the final visuals using vector graphics, following a color palette provided by the client.
Quick transitions added urgency and momentum, helping to convey the importance of the subject matter through thoughtful design and purposeful animation.
